As National Volunteer Week celebrates the power of giving back, PLS employees are rolling up their sleeves to support communities across Western Australia through the Company’s Corporate Volunteering Program.
Since launching the PLS Volunteer Program in 2025, employees have contributed more than 256 volunteering hours to organisations focused on food relief, conservation, blood donations and community wellbeing.
Through our partnership with Volunteering WA, employees in Perth and the Pilbara can take part in team-based volunteering opportunities using one paid volunteering leave day each year.
During National Volunteer Week, members of our Environment team volunteered at WA Wildlife, supporting the organisation’s work to care for native animals. The team spent the day helping with gardening, raking, cleaning and general property maintenance tasks.
This year’s theme, Your Year to Volunteer, encourages people to contribute in ways that are meaningful and accessible.
At PLS, volunteering gives our people practical ways to support the communities where we live and work, strengthen team connection and contribute beyond the workplace.
PLS’ Corporate Volunteer Program in Australia forms part of our broader Community Investment Framework, which supports education, community resilience and energy transition initiatives across priority communities including Port Hedland, Yandeyarra, Strelley and Perth.
Through these initiatives, we aim to create positive and lasting outcomes across the regions where we operate.
