We are pleased to share that Ms Alex Willcocks has been appointed as our next Chief Financial Officer, effective 25 May 2026, following a comprehensive domestic and international executive search.
Alex joins us from Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers, where she served as CFO with responsibility for finance, strategy, risk, IT, joint venture governance and procurement. She brings more than 20 years’ experience across listed and multinational organisations, including senior finance leadership roles within the Wesfarmers Group and significant exposure to the chemicals business, integrated lithium mining and chemical conversion through her governance roles with the Covalent Lithium joint venture.
Alex’s experience leading complex organisations, her strong chemicals experience, delivering major growth programs and supporting a mature balance sheet will be instrumental as we continue building a leading global lithium business and move into the next chapter of PLS’s development.
We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Flavio Garofalo for his significant contribution as Interim CFO.
Flavio has provided discipline, stability and leadership during an important period for the business. His work reshaping our finance function, strengthening reporting, supporting our capital management activities and building capability across the team has made a material impact.
Importantly, Flavio will continue as Interim CFO until Alex commences, and he will remain a senior leader within PLS, continuing to lead key finance workstreams and supporting the ongoing transformation and growth of our business. His continuity and deep organisational knowledge will be invaluable through this next phase.
