PLS Gender Pay Equality Statement released

4 March 2025

Today, we released our Gender Pay Equality Statement, alongside the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting for the 2023-24 period. The Statement outlines our ongoing commitment to improving gender equality, closing the pay gap and fostering an inclusive workplace.

In 2023-24, our median total remuneration gender pay gap improved to 11.1%, down from 25.1% in 2022-23. This reduction was in part due to significant growth in our headcount and a broader more balanced distribution of occupation types across the Company.

Increasing participation

In the 2023-24 reporting period, we made progress in advancing female representation across our workforce, reaching 24% and exceeding the industry average of 18%. While this progress is encouraging, we recognise there is still more to do to enhance gender balance at every level of our workforce, particularly in senior leadership roles.

How we’re closing the gap

We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and remain committed to making continuous improvements to our gender pay gap and gender diversity through a broad range of strategies and initiatives focused on:

  • Attracting and retaining women in technical, project, and site-based roles.
  • Increasing female representation at all levels.
  • Creating pathways for women to advance into senior leadership positions.
  • Engaging with the community and industry on initiatives that support gender equality.

These initiatives are further detailed in our Gender Equality Statement.

We are committed to continuous improvement in both our gender diversity and gender pay gap results, ensuring we foster an inclusive and equitable workplace.
